Wahlström & Widstrand was founded in 1884. We are situated in Stockholm and we publish approximately 30 books a year including Swedish and translated fiction, and poetry.
Our contemporary authors include Kazuo Ishiguro, Amos Oz, Khaled Hosseini, José Saramago, V.S. Naipaul, Jeanette Winterson, Gabriel García Marquez, Herta Müller, P.D. James, Édouard Louis and Jodi Picoult. Several of our Swedish authors have been internationally successful, among others Camilla Grebe, Jens Lapidus, Malin Persson Giolito, Johan Theorin and Karin Wahlberg, whose works have been translated into a number of languages.
